• The Yurameku series is designed to show color variation / shifting depending on drying time, paper type, and ink saturation. 

• Kitsunebiyori is described as a color that shifts as it dries:
    • In its wetter / fresher state, it may appear as a brown / apricot-brown tone 
    • As it dries, it may shift toward a soft violet / muted purple tone 
    • The effect gives a “dual-shading” impression, where multiple undertones are glimpsed in strokes and shading areas. 

• Shading / Sheen / Shimmer:
    • Strong shading is a characteristic — gradients from lighter to darker within strokes. 
    • Sheen is possible (i.e., slight reflective edges) under favorable lighting / paper conditions. 
    • There is no shimmer / no glitter particles (i.e. no sparkle) 

Performance & Usage

• Flow & Behavior: The ink is designed to flow smoothly — it is considered a soft, muted color with shading capabilities. 

• Drying Time: Moderate; not a fast-drying ink, so dry times will depend on nib width, paper absorbency, and how saturated the stroke is. 

• Water Resistance: The ink is not water-resistant — exposure to water will cause smearing / color bleeding. 

• Compatibility: Safe for fountain pens (converters, piston, etc.), as long as proper cleaning is maintained. 

• Bottle Opening / Mouth: The bottle has an opening that accommodates nibs / converters (standard size) — opening diameter ~ 20.6 mm per Sailor spec for Yurameku bottles. 

Inspiration & Naming

• The name Kitsunebiyori (???) evokes the idea of a sunshower — when it rains yet the sunlight is visible, which in Japanese folklore is sometimes associated with fox weddings (“kitsune weddings”). 

• This “weather paradox” is mirrored in the ink’s dual shifting behavior: brown tones in one moment, violet hues in the next, creating a poetic interplay of color.
